Livingston Spotlight

August 19, 2015

Dear Staff,

The summer is quickly coming to an end. I hope you have enjoyed your summer and had a chance to relax with your families and friends.

Currently, our building is going through summer cleansing. Custodians and maintenance staff are working diligently to finish on time. You are welcome to come in to set-up your rooms at any time the week of August 24th. Please make sure you return your keys to the office by the end of each day. Keep in mind that the office staff leaves at 3 pm and the custodians at 4 pm.

By now you have received or will receive an email from Mr. Johnson, our new Superintendent of Schools about opening day (September 1, 2015, at 9:00 a.m. New Brunswick High School). We will have our Livingston meeting when we return from the High School. We look forward to an exciting and successful school year.

Sincerely yours,

Jose R. Negron

Vice Principal

Dear parents and members of the Livingston Elementary School,

I wanted to take some time and introduce myself to you and tell you how happy and excited I am to be the new Principal at Livingston Elementary School. I have been a professional educator for the past 29 years. During that time I have served as a Teacher, Supervisor, Asst. Principal, Principal, Special Asst., and Superintendent of Schools. I possess a strong background in educational leadership and I strongly believe that education succeeds only when everyone in a community is involved.

As an educator, I have been guided by one principle throughout my career and I approach each and every decision that I make the same way, “Are we doing the best we can for the children?” The answer must always be yes and if it isn’t then we must find a better way. I believe that education is a shared community commitment. Children learn from everyone; teachers, parents, coaches etc… To that end it is my privilege to have been appointed as the Principal of Livingston Elementary School and it is also my goal to actively communicate and work with all stakeholders in our school. I invite every one of you to join me in making the Livingston Elementary School the best it can be.

Sincerely,
 Jose R. Negron

Atentamente,
 José R. Negrón
